About me

My name is Jonathan Crabtree and I am a graphic designer with 5 years of industry experience. My experience is a mix of Internships, part time work and running my own graphic design business. I am the founder of Jonathan Crabtree Imagery which I set up when I was 17 and is still running today.

I am a multidisciplinary designer with experience in videography, photography, photo-manipulation, brand identity, publication design, typesetting, illustration and many other niche practices. This large expanse of skills all contributes to the final imagery that every client I work with receives. Each series of designs is carefully thought out and deliberated over collaboratively with each client to create bespoke work for each project. Image is an important thing in this modern age, both visually and perceptually. This is why my work is valuable in so many ways, changing the way you and your business look, but also how you are seen. That is the power of Image.

As you can see from my portfolio I have a breadth of skills, but my passion is layout and texture manipulation. In my personal practice I enjoy creating abstract textures with experimental colour pallets and combining them with typographic and branded elements to create a strong visual style. Exploring this in my personal practice helps me feed into the more direct work that I would be creating at your company. I feel because of these explorations I am developing the maturity to be able to see through "style" and develop solutions that are relevant to the project at hand.
