Fully conversant with the printing process from words and images through to final print-ready artwork

Fifteen years design/production of antiques magazines, originating type and artwork, processing illustrations and copy on CD, emailed or ISDN'd, or checking/preparing received artwork for printing; liaising with external advertisers and/or their graphics companies and with external printers.

Ten years producing newsletters and scientific research journals (cast metals), "Broadsheets", conference proceedings and other print, including writing, editing, artwork/layout, and liaison with internal & external authors and internal & external print suppliers.

Conversant with: QuarkXPress, Photoshop, Illustrator/Freehand, Acrobat, InDesign, FileMaker.

Database entry/maintenance and development.

Very flexible approach to working - to see a magazine through to completion, when necessary, I have worked significant evening and weekend hours (24 hours+ on a few occasions).

An adaptable problem solver, fast but accurate and reliable, patient but persistent. Used to working with staff and clients at all levels. Effective teacher.
