About me
Denver, Colorado-based painter, Jonathan Marsico, was born in 1971. He creates paintings, which are considered as some of the most iconic of Color Field Painting, using the acrylic painting technique. Over the course of the years, Marsico has explored different mediums and techniques.
Marsico began painting at the age of 5. While in high school, Marsico's art has been criticized by his teachers. So, he decided to stop painting. Marsico received his Bachelor's Degree from the Sturm College of Law of University of Denver. After two years of practicing law, Marsico become aware that this is not the best profession for him.
Marsico enrolled at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and obtained a Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA) degree with magna cum laude honors.
This acrylic painter manipulates large canvases in creative ways. He controls the flow and stain of his acrylic paints.
The acrylic paintings of Jonathan Marsico have been presented, in some of the most noted galleries across the United States and in Europe.
