About me
At this point in time, I now have over seven years experience in many aspects of design and artworking, primarily using Apple Mac based systems. From February 1998 to November 2002, I worked with a company called IMA, a small advertising and marketing agency employing 25 people. They specialised in the entire below the line marketing mix servicing a number of clients. Working for a smaller company gave me the opportunity to gain experience in a number of areas within the studio, the rest of the company and the industry as a whole.
I was originally employed at IMA on the strength of my illustration skills having completed a degree in the subject at university. Initially, I developed good use of markers to help with their campaign and client pitches. Food packaging made up a large proportion of their business and my illustration skills were used to great effect on those.
My technical knowledge of the Mac and the design for print software, Quark Xpress, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator was built up during this period with a number of training sessions in Manchester and London. In the present, I am continuing to learn the updates and new methods of working with these evolving packages using the online training library, *.
