About me
Hi there,
My name is John and I have spent the past 15 months working for Metro as a Commercial / Marketing Designer. My responsibilities were varied in my time. In terms of marketing, I was responsible of creating marketing materials such as one pagers, infographics, stat sheets etc. for our clients as well as for in-house benefits. I also dealt with the house advertisements for Metro, the largest being Club Metro. Establishing creative it was my responsibility to create weekly advertisements which ran in paper for the social football blogging business model.
As for commercial work, I would liaise with the sales teams to create solutions to briefs put forward by clients including Tropicana, Coca Cola, Ford, Beats By Dre, ASDA, Tesco, Natwest and many more. This required me to have a keen eye of branding and be aware of what elements the client may have wished to push in their campaigns.
Skills
During my time at university I gained a healthy knowledge of:-, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, I would say that my strengths are based around:-, Illustrative work, CAD Drawing and Design, Photography, I also:-, Have the ability to speak Spanish to an adult level, Own a forklift license for counterbalance forklift trucks up to 7 tonnes
Sector Experience
I have spent the past 12 months working full time for an engineering firm in London working in their drawing offices, as well as in the workshop welding and fabricating on large scale projects as well as creative one off designs for artists in the local area., I spent 1 month working for an architectural firm based in London on one of their largest projects in the UK. During that time I worked alongside architects and designers on some of the finer detailing of the project which they were working on.
