I am writing to you in response to the position advertised online for a Proof Reader.

I am a proof reader with over 40 years experience of checking important financial reports and other sensitive and important content.

Most recently I was employed by Williams Lee, who are the printers and proof readers of all documents needed by the House of Commons, including the Questions to MP's, Early Day Motions and the Order Paper. Based in the House of Commons I managed a team responsible for checking and printing these documents to a demanding and inflexible schedule.

During my time at Williams Lee I also took on some freelance work for a London based non-fiction publishing company, proof reading, fact-checking and correcting formatting issues on entertainment titles.
