About me

Hi, I'm John, a friendly, conscientious person, reliable and trustworthy with a can-do attitude. I'm a highly motivated graphic, web designer, print designer, brander and logo maker . I take pride in my work and keep high standards at all times.

I've worked within team environments within advertising and design studios for many years and enjoy developing relationships with the people I work with. I truly believe that it is through this collaboration that the best results are created. That said, all designers have to work alone at times and I'm completely comfortable in doing so.

At heart, I'm a graphic designer, although I don't like to restrict myself simply as this. Problem solving is a process that I very much enjoy. I'm a strong conceptual thinker, where pen and paper come first but also understand that this may not always be necessary.

Through my experience, I have developed a diverse range of skills and am able to take briefs from their inception to conclusion. Within this process I am able to conceptualise, scamp and design, presenting ideas internally or to clients when required.

I'm fully proficient in Adobe desktop software and have a solid understanding of the digital, social world. I am experienced in designing and building sites using WordPress and working with developers. I'm comfortable working on projects that require both print and digital deliverables. I'm also proficient in high end photo retouching and image creation.

My approach

To effectively design and communicate with the target audience I like to gain an understanding of the client, their proposition and what they hope to achieve.

I do so in an engaging manner, creating fresh and innovative designs for both client and audience.

I enjoy working with a diverse range of people and clients and do so with a solid work ethic and a good sense of humour.
