About me
I have been working in newspaper and magazine production and editorial for nearly nine years. In this time I have amassed extensive knowledge of most publishing software packages including InDesign and InCopy CS3, Quark 5 through to 7, Photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3, Acrobat and Acrobat Distiller.
I have managed teams of sub-editors, designers and production controllers, both internal and external. I manage workflows, schedules, and flat-planning and have worked on various frequencies of titles from weeklies, to monthlies and bi-monthlies.
I have worked on several redesigns and launches. These have involved working on the actual design and setting up style sheets and templates.
I have excellent communication and organisation skills and I am looking primarily for Production Editor/Manager, Chief Sub-Editor/sub-editor roles within publishing.
