Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for taking the time to read my application for the junior position.

My name is John Graham. I am a web & graphic designer from Leeds, West Yorkshire. I currently work as a designer for KAD Limited, who own a series of e-commerce websites in the kitchen and bathroom industry. I have held this position since January 2011. Previous to this I held a role as a designer for an IT & Design company near York from October 2008 to January 2011. I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2008 where I achieved a first class degree in Multimedia and Communications Design.

My current and previous roles have given me advanced knowledge and flair in designing for a variety of brands, styles and formats. I have experience designing for and even creating brands aimed at various ages and demographics.

I feel I am an ideal candidate for the web designer position due to my advanced skills in on and offline design, knowledge of HTML & CSS, print preparation and experience in marketing. I have a great eye for detail and I am eager to advance both my knowledge and skills in a new and interesting environment.

I find the prospect of working for Candi, and subsequently Morrisons, extremely exciting. The opportunity to work inside such a large and well established agency is one of the reasons I pursued a career in design. I also feel that a position in such a large and prominent organisation would suit my career goals; I constantly strive to better myself and advance my career so the opportunity to progress inside a company is very appealing to me.
