About me

My name is John and I was employed for close to three years as a lead compositor working at Ragdoll Ltd. on the award winning show "In the Night Garden". This program is a leading edge series that combines animation, live action footage and 3D elements. Having been on a contract with Ragdoll February 2006 my contract has been extended five times but I am now at the end of my work as the production has come to an end.

I was employed as a compositor and I also worked as the sole 3d artist on this production. Throughout my career employers have valued my ability to both composite and work as a 3d artist. A key benefit of this is

that I am able to help the primary two departments in post-production

to work efficiently and communicate to each other more effectively, as

I know exactly what a compositor needs rendered out of a 3d package,

which saves the company time and money.

I understand the nature of our business and countless extra hours

needed to be put in to help be a part of creating something amazing. I

have my own mobile workstation and have worked on set with it before.

I know I would be an asset to your company as a visual effect artist.
