About me

Hi, I'm JR. I'm 31, 6'7", I have a partner and 2 dogs, I surf, and like things that makes me think. I'm looking for a well paid job in a creative industry. I live and work in Bath running a music venue. I have worked in one creative industry or another for more than 10 years, often for myself as a sole trader. The result of that experience is that I have a complete and holistic viewpoint of my fields of interest.

Sometimes it's hard to put a value on a person with no standard history or qualifications, but it's common wisdom that those with talents across a large variety of areas are inherently more valuable than those with singular talent in one field. The latter may be genius', but they may not be able to see why the customer wants it different, or how the cost could skyrocket as a result of the technologies they use. As a result, their time and effort is more costly as it has to be paid for twice while they amend the product.

Having run my own companies, and worked in a vast array of jobs and industries, I know when to spot a pitfall, I know how to listen to a customer and which questions to ask to get out of them what they really want, I know how to work with and lead a team, I know how to communicate effortlessly and effectively, and I know the process of development from concept to production in a range of media.

However, the most important thing about me is that I draw upon talent and a strong work ethic to produce efficient and high quality results.
