About me
Dear FLW,
As a child, I was always drawing. People around me noticed both my interest and the fact that I seemed to have an eye for art that distinguished me from other children of my age. As I grew, this love of drawing grew with me. I wrote countless stories, some short and some long enough to be considered a book, and then designed all the characters and environments. When I wasn't drawing, I liked to dance.
For a while, I struggled with what I would be when I grew up. Should I be an artist or a dancer
Finally in high school, it clicked. I had loved animated movies and video games as long as I had loved drawing and dancing, and I realized that in the animation and gaming field, I could have a career that combined all of my interests. Since then, art has become such an intrinsic part of my life that I couldn't imagine living without it. Drawing is like breathing to me. It is something I have to do to stay and feel alive. It's something that keeps me connected to the world around me. I try to meld what I know about movement from dance with anatomy and story to create energy and a sense of motion in my work, even if it's a still image. Like the gaming industry, dance is collaborative, and I love working with a team to bring an idea to fruition.
Creating art and sharing it with the world is my ultimate goal. I want to be a part of creating something memorable and unique, and not just another cash clone in the app store. I hope a job as a concept artist at your company would help me further continue with this goal.
Thank you so much for this opportunity.
Sincerely,
Joelle Murray
