Re: Assistant Video Editor

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to apply for the above post. I have spent the last four months on a contract with Media Trust as their Edit Assistant. In this role I have been creating on bodies for DVDs in Photoshop, editing in Final Cut Pro, compressing into H.264 for streaming and FTP client management, edit suite prepping including digitising and day to day upkeep of suites. I was also responsible of editing and deliverables for 44 short films for Prince's trust on time. I was awarded student of the year for my professionalism last year. I am fully confident with tapeless media, having worked on various projects. This was during my studies at university and private jobs. I have experience of Canon 5D Mark2, Panasonic P2 and Sony EX3 where I performed all roles. I am always conscious of the need to back up in case of hard drive failure or other unforeseen problems.

I was originally trained in Adobe Premiere; I have a good working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and basic Dreamweaver for HTML editing. I have a strong foundation of MS Office.
