About me

I graduated in 2002 with a BA (Hons) in Applied Arts, a sustainable design and makers course at the University of Derby.

After university I straight away set up my own business Cardfold's, selling online and directly to high street shops and galleries greeting cards which I designed, printed and cut out by hand.

Alongside Cardfolds I started working freelance in theaters as a prop maker during the pantomime season. Over the course of a few short months, this had evolved into working creatively in art departments for film and television. I knew then I wanted to be involved with dressing the sets and making things visually exciting right down the finishing touches that make all the difference.

I have always had a passion for craft, prop making, interior design and styling. Setting up my exhibitions at university and styling photo-shoots for my graphic design work was always the most exciting and rewarding aspect of my course and the environments I created always seemed to get people talking as much as the work itself.

I have picked up along my creative journey some very useful skills which combined with my interests and determination make me the ideal professional and hardworking stylist assistant.
