This is a fantastic opportunity to join our newly formed Content team at Compare the Market as a Website Editor. This role will be pivotal in supporting our Director of Content in creating a high performing Content team. Leading a team of writers, you’ll help and inspire the delivery of our strategy. You’ll embed data-first content principles – gold standard SEO, data-led planning and meticulously monitoring performance metrics to influence planning.
You’ll be the day-to-day lead for all website content, accountable for the deliverability and quality of content that fulfils our purpose, to make financial decision-making simples. Using your personal finance expertise, you’ll build greater understanding across the business, to support our content and to be a spokesperson for CtM across the media. Beyond site content you’ll support the content production on other platforms such as; social media and email.

You’ll be:
• Accountable for all content adhering to high standards to educate customers and make it simples for them to make financial decisions
• Accountable for the content team hitting KPIs on accuracy, output, updates, traffic, user experience and conversion
• Maintaining an expert standard of SEO, collaborating with the SEO team to ensure this happens
• Ensuring our content supports customers making decisions when using our comparisons and tools. This will be via content that answers users’ financial decision-making questions, expert UX and clear calls to action; working with key stakeholders across the business to make this happen
• Ensuring the team employs first-class processes in planning, setting briefs and reporting of KPIs.
• Leading, coaching, developing, attracting and retaining high-performing talent, ensuring appropriate succession planning; and can motivate and drive delivery of objectives
• Supporting the creation of content distributed via channels such as CRM, social media and video
• Commercially minded and collaborate with commercial teams to ensure a smooth pipeline of products that save customers money and to help you understand what topics to prioritise
• An expert in personal finance, and ensure that expertise is reflected in our content so it is an authoritative source of information for customers
• An expert voice for CtM in the wider market/media, to support PR team
• Playing a key role in developing the content strategy for CtM
What we’d like to see from you:
• Multi-platform online editor with a track record of producing content to help audiences, ideally with experience producing finance content
• Leadership skills, with strong coaching skills to develop your teams skills and careers
• Strategic thinking with commercial acumen
• Experience in writing for SEO optimisation
• Expertise in turning complex financial jargon into easy-to-understand content
• Strong numerical skills
