We’re home to the UK’s largest choice of properties and are the go-to destination for millions of people planning their next move, reading the latest industry news, or just browsing what’s on the market.
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Rightmove Plus Platform team.
The team works on initiatives that cut across multiple product areas within Rightmove Plus, strengthening the foundations that underpin the Partner experience and enabling teams to deliver more consistent, scalable and connected products.
You'll help shape the experiences used by thousands of property professionals every day. This includes navigation, dashboards, settings, account experiences and emerging AI-powered initiatives that support our customers across the Rightmove Plus ecosystem.
- You'll be the sole designer embedded in the team, working closely with the Product Manager and engineers.
- You'll also be part of our wider XD team, a community of Product Designers, Content Designers and User Researchers.
- Reporting to the Lead Product Designer for Customer.
- Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Soho, London office and 3 days from home.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Owning end-to-end improvements across key Rightmove Plus platform experiences, identifying opportunities to simplify journeys and improve consistency.
- Supporting platform initiatives including navigation, dashboards, settings, account management and AI-powered experiences.
- Working across multiple product teams to create connected and consistent Partner experiences.
- Creating and communicating solutions through user journeys, flows, wireframes, UI design and prototypes.
- Partnering with the Product Manager to understand the roadmap and strategic priorities.
- Collaborating with User Research, Content Design and other designers to support your design process.
- Proactively running research and usability testing to validate ideas and refine designs.
- Using analytics and qualitative insight to understand impact and continuously improve what we ship.
- Working with engineers through delivery to ensure experiences are technically feasible, accessible, performant and consistent.
- Create reusable patterns, guidance and frameworks that improve consistency and help Partner teams deliver high-quality experiences more efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Systems Senior Product Designer and Partner teams to shape shared components, patterns and experience standards, ensuring solutions are scalable and meet the needs of multiple teams.
- Actively participate in design reviews and critiques, providing constructive feedback and helping raise the quality and consistency of Partner experiences.
- Building strong relationships with Product Managers, Engineers and Designers across partner experience teams to align on opportunities, priorities and design decisions.
- Helping teams make informed design decisions by balancing customer needs, business goals, technical constraints and insight gathered from across the organisation.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience designing complex digital products, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong UX design, systems thinking and attention to craft.
- Experience working across multiple teams or product areas, bringing people together to solve problems that span beyond a single product or journey.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset, with the ability to create scalable solutions, reusable patterns and frameworks that improve consistency, enable teams to work more effectively, and deliver long-term value beyond the immediate product team.
- Strong understanding of information architecture, navigation and complex user journeys.
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design, with an eye for quality and consistency.
- Experience collaborating with Design Systems teams and balancing the needs of individual product teams with wider organisational consistency and scalability.
- Comfort working within and contributing to design systems.
- Confidence using research, analytics and customer insight to make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including experience influencing stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring people together around a shared direction.
- Openness to feedback, both on your design work and personal development.
- Pragmatic approach to delivery: balancing user needs, business goals and technical constraints.
- Curiosity and a growth mindset, including thoughtful and responsible use of AI tools where appropriate.
