This position is responsible for driving quality, improving workflows, mentoring others, and helping shape how art is delivered across projects.

Strong technical and artistic skills, proven production experience, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across disciplines are essential. The role also plays a key part in supporting team growth and development, contributing to documentation, and working with external partners to maintain high-quality delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Deliver high-quality, game-ready 3D assets across a wide range of content types.
  • Own feature areas or asset sets, from brief through to in-game integration.
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy, delivering consistent results with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors and Leads to help maintain and push the visual style.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level artists through feedback, coaching and guidance.
  • Contribute to worldbuilding and visual storytelling through asset placement and set dressing.
  • Create clear and useful documentation to support art pipelines, processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with outsourcing partners to create briefs, review deliveries and provide clear, constructive feedback to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Identify and help implement improvements to tools, workflows and pipelines
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Design, Tech Art and Production to resolve visual and technical challenges.
  • Participate in regular reviews, milestone check-ins and cross-discipline planning sessions.
  • Use advanced artistic and technical skills to solve production challenges independently.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Strong proficiency with Maya for modelling and asset setup.
  • Expert use of Substance Painter for texturing and experienced in sculpting with Zbrush.
  • Solid experience working within a real-time engine, with a clear understanding of performance optimisation, LODs and integration.
  • Thorough knowledge of PBR workflows, UV mapping, baking and clean asset organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality assets within one or more specialist areas (e.g. environments, props, foliage, vehicles), with a strong understanding of the relevant tools and workflows required for that discipline.
  • Strong eye for scale, composition, lighting and worldbuilding.
  • Ability to mentor and guide other artists through both informal support and formal leadership.
  • Effective communication and collaboration across disciplines.

BONUS IF YOU HAVE

  • Experience with Substance Designer, SpeedTree or Gaea.
  • Familiarity with procedural asset creation or material workflows.
  • Comfortable working across both realistic and stylised styles.
  • Experience using version control systems such as Perforce or SVN.
  • Experience working with outsourcing partners or external vendors.
