Senior Accessories Designer
Job
We are looking for a Senior Accessories Designer to lead the design and delivery of innovative, premium accessories collections that elevate brand identity and drive commercial success. Please attach your portfolio for consideration. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
About the Role:
As a Senior Accessories Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering seasonal accessories and gifting collections, aligned with the overall Own Label strategy. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive innovation, ensure best-in-class product execution, and bring a strong commercial lens to design, always delivering to key milestones and maintaining a premium aesthetic.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design process, from trend research and concept creation through to final product delivery
- Develop mood boards, colour palettes and key shapes that reflect innovation and strong brand identity
- Collaborate closely with Buying, Merchandising, and Technical teams to deliver commercially successful collections
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring clear design briefs, strong communication, and high-quality sampling outcomes
- Drive continuous improvement through in-season development, trend analysis, and a test-and-learn approach
Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.
Please see our Hybrid@Harrods policy on our Career Site for more information or speak to a member of our Talent Acquisition team if you have any questions regarding the requirements for this role.
About You:
You will be an experienced and highly creative designer with a strong understanding of the luxury or bridge retail landscape, bringing both innovation and commercial awareness to your work. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently leading design initiatives while influencing key stakeholders and driving results. You will demonstrate exceptional organisation, accountability, and the ability to deliver to deadlines, while fostering collaboration and a positive team culture. With a refined taste level and a passion for product excellence, you will continually push for best-in-class outcomes and newness across every collection.
You will also have:
- Proven experience in own label accessories design within a premium or luxury environment
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration
- Deep understanding of product development, supplier processes, and commercial considerations such as pricing and range planning
