The purpose of this role is to develop best in class strategies and management of all Paid Social activity on assigned clients, to manage and develop the team and serve as a point of escalation as needed.

The Role:
As a Paid Social Director, you’ll lead the strategy, delivery, and innovation of paid social campaigns for high-profile clients within our integrated Total Social capability. You’ll collaborate across paid, organic, and influencer marketing, driving best-in-class activations on platforms like Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and LinkedIn. Your role is pivotal in shaping client outcomes, guiding a talented team, and serving as a point of escalation for complex challenges.
You’ll work closely with the Paid Social Partner and cross-functional teams to develop future-proof strategies, foster a culture of growth and excellence, and champion seamless collaboration. Key Responsibilities:

Lead Paid Social strategy – Develop and oversee innovative paid social strategies and media plans that align with client business objectives.

Define KPIs and measurement solutions – Establish clear performance indicators and measurement frameworks to track and optimise campaign success.

Collaborate on client roadmaps – Work with the Paid Social Partner to create future-focused client roadmaps and integrated social approaches.

Integrate digital channels – Identify and leverage opportunities to connect paid social with other digital channels for holistic campaign delivery.

Monitor and optimise campaigns – Ensure daily monitoring and regular optimisation of all campaign elements based on agreed KPIs.

Deliver insightful reporting – Provide timely, accurate, and actionable client reports to inform ongoing optimisations and performance improvements.

Develop Test & Learn frameworks – Create sophisticated testing roadmaps across platforms, outlining effective measurement and learning opportunities.

Serve as main client contact – Build strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and evolving partnerships for long-term success.

Facilitate seamless collaboration – Act as the link between paid social, client servicing, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

Drive operational improvements – Proactively identify and implement enhancements to ways of working and paid social activation processes.

Translate client objectives – Gain deep understanding of client goals and translate them into impactful platform strategies that deliver measurable outcomes.

Represent team in client meetings – Lead status updates, briefings, campaign reviews, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

Manage partner relationships – Develop and nurture relationships with key platforms and technology partners, identifying opportunities for innovation and trials.

Mentor, develop, and build the team – Guide and empower team members, setting objectives and conducting performance reviews to foster growth and retain talent. Play an active role in recruitment and onboarding, ensuring new hires are smoothly integrated and equipped to excel in their roles.

Champion quality assurance – Ensure effective implementation of QA processes, aiming for 100% error-free activations within your client remit.

Drive commercial success – Oversee revenue delivery, billing, reconciliation, and forecasting, supporting the Partner in achieving fiscal goals.

Contribute to product development and new business – Stay current with industry trends, create case studies, contribute to pitches, and onboard new clients as needed.
Key Requirements:

Strategic Leadership – Proven ability to lead paid social strategy, guide teams, and deliver business outcomes for clients.

Advanced campaign planning & activation – Expertise in planning, executing, and optimising complex paid social campaigns across major platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn).

Performance measurement – Strong skills in defining KPIs, developing measurement solutions, and driving continuous optimisation to meet client objectives.

Client relationship management – Demonstrated success in building, evolving, and sustaining client partnerships, with a commercial mindset to drive revenue growth.

Cross-channel integration – Experience integrating paid social with other digital channels for cohesive, future-proofed marketing solutions.

Data analysis and reporting – Highly numerate and detail-oriented, with proficiency in analysing data sets, delivering actionable insights, and producing accurate, insightful reports.

Testing and experimentation – Practical expertise in designing and managing sophisticated test-and-learn roadmaps, including multi-cell brand lift and conversion lift studies.

Team development and leadership – Track record of mentoring, developing, and retaining high-performing teams, including setting objectives, conducting reviews, and supporting recruitment.

Quality assurance – Commitment to delivering error-free work, championing effective work practices, and proactively addressing quality issues.

Commercial acumen – Skilled in value selling, negotiation, accurate forecasting, and ensuring financial success across client portfolios.
