Working across the total George Brand design remit you will be a brand guardian support for all design projects across all channels to ensure all changes and updates land to brand vision and on time. Working closely with the wider Brand Creative and Design Executive's you will ensure all design output adheres to our brand guidelines.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career in design, and is passionate about supporting the delivering stylish and affordable product that delights our customer.

As the Design Assistant you will be empowered to contribute to the research of new trends and market information, informing decision making and assist driving product development, whilst keeping the George customer at the heart of what we do. In this role you'll:

  • Support the design executive's on information gathering from marketing briefs to create specific design briefs

  • Note taking in key meetings to ensure all actions and feedback is captured and shared

  • Proof-read, sense check and quality control checks on output Vs the brief

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining internal creative decks – designed in line with campaigns to story tell to the wider business

  • Working closely with content team to understand creative vision for all activity to ensure consistency online

  • Liaise with wider brand marketing teams, packaging and POS teams to understand their channel requirements

  • Housekeeping and updating WIPs, folders and deck

"Let's find out about you"

  • Experience in a design or project management style role is preferred – ideally fashion or home

  • Wider marketing knowledge is preferable – especially around acquisition and retention

  • An active interest in the fashion and home market

  • Some experience of working on in store artwork or web design is preferred

  • Experience of working on or with brand guidelines is preferred

  • A great eye for detail

  • An interest in the design field across the fashion and home industries

  • Team player that is confident managing and taking control of projects individually

  • Experience of working with/ in managing external agencies is preferred but not essential

  • Strong communication skills and a confident presenter

  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment, and able to prioritise and multi-task

  • Extremely agile and open to change
