Creative Design Manager - Digital
Job
We are looking for a Creative Design Manager (Digital) to join our Creative team on a 12-month fixed term contract basis (August 2024 - August 2025) to continue to innovate and elevate our design output, producing innovative concepts to execute across a plethora of Harrods brand channels. Proven experience and thorough understanding of core digital channels (website, app, email, social media – both organic and paid) is essential for this role.
As we celebrate this momentous anniversary year, now more than ever, it’s an exciting time to join the Harrods Team.
About the Role:
The Creative Design Manager needs an advanced understanding of branding and brand consistency, acting as a brand guardian on all design concepts and layouts to protect and elevate the brand identity and aesthetic. This role provides thorough feedback on a wide variety of creative briefs, providing final approval on key BAU creative work and providing visibility to the Head of Creative. The Creative Design Manager will think creatively, conscious of multiple channel usage and the importance of designing for mobile first, whilst being innovative within cost, time, and technical constraints.
The Creative Design Manager will motivate and inspire a team of creatives to continue to elevate the brand image and formulate strong working partnerships, creating a culture of open communication and continued feedback to ensure all design tasks are completed in a timely and competent manner.
About You:
You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, the ability to encourage a team as well as establishing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders across the business. You’ll have strong creative credentials and collaborative mindset, being comfortable taking projects from concept to implementation and delivery, whilst demonstrating agility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
You will also:
- Be an expert in the luxury creative field, comfortable managing multiple projects at one time.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and can multi-task, delivering prompt results and prioritising effectively.
- Be solutions-focussed, proactively problem solving.
- Be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and After Effects) and Microsoft Packages.
- Have experience with Figma and 3D rendering applications (i.e. Cinema 4D) is desired, but not essential.
- Keep up with trends in luxury design and the creative efforts of our competitors and other luxury brands, both in-store and online.
About Us:
Our 175th anniversary will see the Knightsbridge store become a stage for our legacy of firsts, our house of world-leading brands and our reputation for exceptional. We want you to come and be a part of all this - and help us deliver exceptional service that represents our authority as a long-standing icon, industry-leader and innovator. Inspired by our past, celebrating our present and focusing on our future, you’ll be joining a team with the belief that anything is possible. What makes you different makes us exceptional.
Our Promise to You:
Help us make the impossible possible for our customers and we’ll do something remarkable for you. As well as offering a friendly environment to inspire your best work, we provide abundant opportunities and support to build an exceptional career across the varied specialisms of our business.
In return you’ll receive an excellent benefits package, including eligibility for an enhanced company pension, private medical insurance, flexible working, 25 days’ holiday and your birthday off, up to 33% in-store discount (including across our food hall and restaurants) and a season ticket loan.
Uniquely You:
At Harrods we believe the personality and authenticity of our people sets us apart. We celebrate and invite applications from all cultures, backgrounds, tastes, and experiences and are proud of our culture where people from all walks of life can grow and thrive. What makes you unique makes us exceptional.
While our job adverts outline the ideal qualities, skills, and prior experience for the role, we believe in the potential for growth and value individual strengths. If you do not meet every desired criteria but feel you have the skills and experience to thrive in this role as well as a genuine interest in working for Harrods and you can demonstrate an alignment with our values, we would encourage you to apply.
