About me
Good day. My name's João David, I'm from Lisbon (Portugal), and I'm 24. I moved in to London to enrol in a master's degree on graphic design at London College of Communication, which ended after springtime.
I've graduated in communication design 2 years ago. I've got a lifetime's experience handling the Mac OS environment, which led me to familiarise myself deeply with a lot of the Adobe Creative Suite applications — such as Fireworks, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere. Although I prefer printed graphics over graphics on screen, most of my work ends up on the web, mainly alongside Heavy Mosh — an online magazine covering nightlife events both in Lisbon and in London. A tasteful collection of what I do can be found within my portfolio at JoaoDavid.org.
In addition, I've got a strong background in sound production, due to many years of proficiency in music (which include a couple of years of jazz schooling on the piano). I'm fairly skilled at Ableton Live and Apple Logic Pro, evidenced by my latest ongoing musical project entitled Nѳva (downbeat electro).
Having that said, I also find it meaningful to say I rely — as sometimes others do — on my initiative quite often, allied to the fact that I'm frequently proud of finishing what I start. I feel I learn quite a lot when coping within a team (so I can practise what I've learned while doing things on my own). I love cola, travelling, and green! Thank you for your time.
