Sector Experience

Earlier this year I completed a four week placement at JAK Print & Design. Working on their monthly advertising magazine In&Around, I produced adverts and editorial designs to very short deadlines and gained more experience dealing with clients., For my second placement I went to Reluctant Hero, an Illustration based design company in Newcastle. For two weeks I worked within a small team to produce T-shirt designs for H&M, Graniph & Hilfiger as well as helping with the day-to-day tasks of running the business., During April 2010 I completed a three week placement at The Point Design where I gained industry experience working on print based material such as brochures, leaflets and logos., Completed an NVQ Level 2 in Desktop Publishing at Upstream Communications. Using the latest software, I designed a wide range of print based material such as leaflets, stationery, business cards, invitations and logos. Responsibility to deal with clients by taking messages and amendment details.
