Dear Mr/Ms,

My curriculum Vitae is enclosed to demonstrate my personal qualities, previous work experience and to provide you with an indication of my potential to become a productive member of your team. But what I would like to add in this covering letter is that I am looking for a long career in print production. I have a passion for print and design. What I may lack in experience I make up for in enthusiasm and ability. I have a good sense of humour and great personality that is perfect for this field when deadlines are tight and the pressure is on, I am quick to pick things up and whole heartedly willing to train where possible.

I have listed below some of the abilities/experiences that I've gained through my working career, which I believe will also be transferable to the position of Production controller.

Sector Experience

Nov 2011 - Present , Company: Rhinegold Publishing , Position: Production Controller, Responserable for Opera Now, International Piano, Music Teacher and Muso Magazine along with several brochures and yearbooks. Duties include liaising with the ads sales staff and advertisers regarding copy deadline, specs and any technical queries, the layout of advertising, filing and storage of artwork, the creation of ads for clients when required, quality control of adverts, creation and upload of pdf’s to printers of print ready pdf’s. As well as the managing of all magazine and yearbook deliveries that enter the building and the quality control checks of that product. Also the creation of digital versions of all afore mentioned products and the up load to websites such as ‘pocketmags’.
