About me
I have recently graduated in Fashion Journalism at the University College of Creative Arts, Epsom where I have been studying for the past three years, and have absolutely loved. My degree has given me an interesting insight into the world of fashion, lifestyle and beauty journalism, making me realise it is something I wish to purposefully pursue.
Throughout my degree I have completed numerous work experience placements and produced freelance pieces; I have just recently completed a internship at Essentials Magazine, and previously worked on newspapers and websites also. All have helped me gain varied skills and knowledge. I not only improved my editorial skills, but also my styling capabilities and visual aesthetic. I have also gained good interpersonal skills, as I dealt with many different people, companies and situations.
I have also gained experience through my role as co-editor of our University Fashion Journalism Magazine, "Bespoke" and Features Editor of the Graduate Fashion Magazine "Segue". The roles included organising the editorial team, deciding on final submissions, and liaising with the art direction team.
I am confident and competent when using computer packages such as Indesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office, and I have knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms.
I would really appreciate the opportunity to show you my portfolio to give you a clearer picture of the work I have undertaken.
