About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Joanna Harrison and I am a recent Graphic Design graduate from Kingston University, London. I am writing to enquire about the job for a Graphic Designer within your Events and Production Agency.
I am a creative, out going and hardworking person who believes that design should always stem from strong conceptual ideas. My work is predominantly retail and fashion graphics based; however I do have prior experience in event branding and PR. I have also undertaken a short course at Central Saint Martins in Fashion Promotion, which has given me further knowledge of launching product lines and designing for events.

I have undertaken various work experience since leaving university, first at an online fashion magazine, then at the fashion house Nico Didonna, and my most recent role was a Junior Freelance position in the creative department of the Fashion PR company Yellow Door.
During my time a Nico Didonna I worked on his publicity for his S/S 2010 ‘Twist on a Classicâ€(TM) show. Here I designed both printed and digital invites, and organised all the PR and printed promotional material for the event, which included single handedly designing the designers Look Book. I also worked with Nico on the concept for the fashion show itself, as well as overseeing the event on the night of the show.
Attached to this letter is a copy of my CV with all my current information. Unfortunately creative-pool will not allow me to upload an example of my portfolio. However, I am more than happy to email you over a copy if this is convenient. Alternatively, I would love to be given the opportunity to bring my full portfolio in to show you.
