About me

I am an English Literature student, in my 3rd year of study at the University of Liverpool. I am aiming to obtain full time employment upon graduating in 2020. My previous work experience has allowed me to become a more confident speaker who is able to approach others in order to engage in conversation. I also have experience as a Publicity assistant with Conerstone Publicity at Penguin Random House, where I was able to show my creative side by making different flyers and posters for authors events, as well as gaining research skills, through finding influencers and reviewers who would likely enjoy the various book releases. I have gained further experience from my time at Wordscapes, a publishing house in Liverpool. During my time there I was involved with the Ethos Eights portion of their magazine, where I had to research different topics and write about them using the approved housing style and word count, which will be featured in their next magazine. I also had to research independent bookshops around Liverpool and write a short blog post about each one which would be featured on the website. Finally, I have an interest in different cultures, which I was able to explore in summer 2019, where I spent a week at the University of Georgia in the United States, having lectures on Civil Rights, Media and Politics in the USA, as well as taking part in day trips which included the Centre for Civil and Human Rights, and learning about the different countries culture and history.
