About me

I have a great passion for design, coming up with new ideas and concepts and seeing them through to realisation. I strive to make my design look clean and fresh, with a hint of personality. Developments in code have made so much possible on the design side and in creating beautiful, involving and surprising user experiences meaning that design is one of the most interesting ever-changing fields to work in.

My illustration degree, completed in 2008, helped me develop an interest in graphic design and web design. During my degree I learned photoshop amongst other adobe software, and this gave me a good place to start learning design principals and working on some design projects. Soon I began to freelance and design websites. The natural progression was to learn HTML and CSS. Using dreamweaver I began designing and making websites for clients as well as promotional material and logos.

I worked at BaseKit, a CMS company, where I created web templates, HTML emails and created illustrations for the basekit blog. I learned many valuable skills there, but chose to return to freelancing full time. Since then I have worked on a variety of web and print projects whilst continuing to learn more about coding and design.

I have a number of years experience and would like to apply the skills and knowledge I have gained to working as part of a team and feel I could make a significant contribution.
