About me
My name is Jo Victoria Russell and I am a postgraduate who has gained applicable and transferable public relations skills with my recent role as a Communications Manager at Meadow Heights and previous work at MAX Public Relations. My intention is to launch a career in PR and further bolster and improve upon a solid foundation in the relevant skill-set.
My experience at MAX Public Relations entailed conceptualising and implementing public relations campaigns. It was at MAX that I realised I had an aptitude and moreover a profound interest in the PR industry. I thrived in their nurturing and intimate atmosphere and within a few months, was given extensive responsibility and control of a number of accounts, including "Forgotten Children", a charity working to help disabled children in developing countries. In November 2005, MAX organised an event at Hamleys Toy Store with the purpose of raising both awareness and financial support for the cause. I ran much of this effort, including the creation and co-ordination of press releases, discussions with various media outlets so as to ensure maximum exposure for the event and the arrangement of an auction in which shoppers were asked to bid for dozens of teddy bears owned and signed by celebrities such as Joanna Lumley and Dame Judi Dench.
I am hardworking, enthusiastic and eager to further develop my career in PR. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Jo Victoria
