I'm a multi-skilled 2D / 3D animator and CG / VFX artist with 15+ years experience. I own and run my own animation studio, JumpKick.
JumpKick has helped many clients to create wonderful visual content for TV shows, commercials, music videos, video games, VR experiences, social promos, live event backdrops and corporate videos. Using a skillset that bridges and combines CGI, 2D & 3D animation, motion graphics and VFX, Jumpkick thrives on producing impressive, dynamic visuals on each and every project undertaken – with a personality and character as unique as the brief from which they were born.
After leaving college having studied Art & Design, in 2000 I started working in CAD and design for the architectural, mechanical and telecommunications sectors. At the same time, I decided to start learning web design and 3D animation, completing early freelance web design projects for local businesses and DJs, kickstarting my creative portfolio. In 2006 with a steadily growing collection of work, I progressed to my first professional project as a VFX Supervisor for a short film - creating visual effects shots which were nominated 2 years later for a CG award at the inaugural Escape awards. Over the following 5 years, I freelanced as a 3D & VFX artist at studios around London - honing my abilities on larger and more demanding projects encompassing music videos, television and video games - taking the time to increase my skills in supporting software such as PFTrack for tracking and Realflow for fluid dynamics simulation. Projects eventually expanded into game development; creating particle FX and animation for AAA video games, such as Gears of War: Judgement and Sonic All Stars Racing: Transformed. In 2010 I then set up shop in my own studio and continued onwards in my journey. Now I assume the role of manager, producer, creative director, concept artist, 2D & 3D modeller & animator, VFX artist, compositor and motion graphics artist - and I love every minute of it!
