About me
I'm a recent graduate of the MA Branding & Identity Design degree at Nottingham Trent University. However, I've worked as a graphic and advertising designer for five years prior to my studies in the UK, working for a cosmetic company in Korea to create brand communications for a variety of printed media, including: newspapers, magazines, promotional leaflets, posters and billboards.
As a creative team leader in Korea my principal role was to supervise two graphic designers and two copywriters, and control the schedules of advertising campaigns. One of the key projects that I undertook in this capacity was a campaign to launch the brand REVLON PROFESSIONAL throughout Korea. My work included researching the market situation, creating ideas for advertisements, and organizing team members and co-workers such as printers and photographers.
During my postgraduate studies at Nottingham Trent University my research has explored the marketing and design processes that contribute to successful brand building activities in the cosmetics industry. My research analysed theoretical perspectives relating to brand strategy; audience profile; market segmentation; the marketing mix; international perspectives; name generation; design conceptualization and application. The resulting outcomes of my project demonstrated and explored the full cycle and methodology for launching a successful brand in the cosmetics industry.
