About me
Hi! My name is Jimena, but everybody call me Santa. I'm a Montevideo-born Spanish artist living and working in Brighton, UK.
I'm an illustrator, designer and photographer who also makes ephemeral artwork: permanent tattoos.
My passion lies at the intersection of art and graphic design, where I can blend creativity with strategic design to deliver impactful visual solutions. I'm actively exploring freelance or part-time roles to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations on exciting projects.
Talking a bit about my professional background, after working for a long time as a graphic designer, my way into the tattoo world started in 2008 under the teaching of Eduardo Sasía (Montevideo).
Over the years I've condensed all my knowledge about design, tattoos and my passion for drawing into a very personal style, so the Graphic, Watercolor and Organized Chaos art are today my main creative outlet and the end of the search for my personal expression as an artist.
I also studied a Communications degree and I worked as a graphic designer and photographer for companies such as L'Oreal, Coca Cola, Nike, Madpoint, Freeriderzine, Coup de Fouet, Descord and El Pais Cultural, among others.
At present, I've settled my private studio in Brighton (UK), where I currently work and express my creativity drawing, tattooing and working on freelance design projects.
