About me

I am a Graphic Designer and Photographic Specialist with over 25 years experience.

This is a valuable combination. For example, creating (or buying-in) photographs for a business's exhibition stand, brochure or website while simultaneously working on the design (and vise versa), can make for an especially coherent and satisfying marketing piece. Nothing lost in translation. Greater chance of the whole becoming greater than the sum of its parts.

WEB / SOCIAL MEDIA / SEO

I have played key roles in the front-end design, development, SEO and management of business websites. My digital design work includes producing: appealing interactive page layouts with HTML and CSS; illustrations; images; nav buttons and banners. My SEO and traffic-building work includes: keywording; driving content; gathering and analysing web and social media stats (blogs, twitter, email-shots); and ensuring proper page markup.

AUTHOR
Wrote and illustrated the highly successful 'Narrowboat Life: Discover Life Afloat on the Inland Waterways', published by Bloomsbury (2016; fully revised 2019).
