About me

I started my career working for a model making company in the midlands as the exhibition and graphic designer responsible for all their national and international exhibitions. After which I moved to London and started working for a small design studio as a graphic designer. It was a hands-on role and projects were designed and art worked by each creative; working on design requirements for local businesses creating logos, business stationary, newsletters, local press ads, fliers etc.

My next full time job was working for The Chemistry Group, which was called Manifesto at the time, as senior designer. My responsibilities were to visualise art director's ideas and to get them artwork ready and also offer support to the Studio Manager as his unofficial assistant. Being made redundant forced me to freelance and I have been ever since. I enjoy the variety of work that freelance offers and the flexibility to be able to work with some talented and creative individuals and agencies. I have worked some long-term freelance contracts, having spent fifteen months with Hicklin Slade and Partners and seven months with MRM and regularly spending up to three months at a time at Geronimo and Meteorite. I prefer to have these longer-term contracts as it allows me to get involved with projects from start to finish. Most of my agency jobs are for creative design, working closely with art directors or independently on design projects.
