About me
Do you want someone with a professional background, experience & qualifications in a wide range of disciplines
I have spent the last 20 years as an archaeologist working across the UK and Ireland. As such I have qualifications and experience in heritage, team management, planning, development, art, architecture & even working alongside a film crew (yes, you guessed it, the Time Team).
For the last 18 months I have ben an office-based writer working for an archaeological consultancy researcing, writing, prof-reading and over-seeing the production of Envisromental Impact Assesments for developments ranging from smal home developments to multi-million pound national schemes such as roads or pipelines. The reports I write are submitted to and accepted by the relevant government departments, particularly the DoE.
However, I have a wide range of other skills and experience. My first job on leaving school was as a computer programmer and I have kept up a range of knowledge inthe area since. I am currently familiar with a range of design packages, particularly Adobe CS3 including photoshop, In-Design and Flash. I am constantly expanding my knowledge.
I've also dealt with the public. Until 2006 I was for a number of years the Event Co-ordinator for the largest single Medieval Re-enactment group in the UK. I wrote the scripts for events with an attendance of 30,000 over 3 days.
So if you want qualifications, diversity, experience & adaptability let me know.
