About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in relation to your current position as a Junior Graphics Designer within your design team.

I graduated from Leeds college of Art with a 2.1 degree in Surface Pattern & Printed Textiles Design 2013.

As a designer I use my graphics and drawing skills, which I have been developing over the past year working in my

own design company 'Jessica Sammon Design'. I design a range of cards and giftwear

as well as working with wedding invitations which i have designed and laser cut.

I was able to improve my skills by constantly challenging myself in new designs and

projects using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

A paid internship at BGC Studio's for three months in 2014 has allowed me to understand

the method's behind producing card's within the design industry. My main role while an

intern was to put together the mock up cards before sending them off to China. I was

able to incorporate what I learnt into my own design work. The foil details on the card was

my favourite part of the mock up process and this has been influenced in my design's today.

As a person I am friendly and easy going. I find when learning something new I get stuck in

and pick up new skills fairly well, which has worked in my favour while working at Link's

embroidery.

I have recently returned home from three months traveling south east asia, which has given me a new insight with travel. I am ready for a new challenge and really looking forward to starting my career.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application and i'll look forward to hearing from you in the new year!

Sincerely,

Jessica Sammon
