About me

I am a young, recent Graduate with a 2:1 in a Fashion Graphics BA Hons degree, looking to start my career in the creative industry. My love for creativity started at a young age, which progressed into my completion of an Art & Design A level and lead on to my Fashion Graphics degree. Graphics and art are a huge passion of mine and I want to carry this enthusiasm over into the work place. Through my degree I have gained many transferable skills and the confidence to work comfortably in many different areas in the creative and fashion industries. The degree course included units on fashion management and marketing, fashion history, trend prediction, branding and business skills. During my degree I also became highly skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign as well as developing my sketching, drawing and painting skills.

For my Final Major Project I successfully created and set up a business to sell my own jewellery. To do this, I created a logo, website, business cards, look book and business plan as well as hand making the jewellery myself. This vastly improved my time management skills and business knowledge to tackle such a huge task and undertake all the different components on my own. My Final Major Project was one of the most challenging yet rewarding things I have completed to date and it taught me how much I can achieve when I fully immerse myself into a project.

Since leaving University, my first goal was to travel more of the world before starting a career. Leading up to this, I worked in a gift shop 'Jumping Bean Gifts'. Here I not only provided customer service and retail skills, but was also given the opportunity to use my creativity by assisting the Visual Merchandiser. I began with the responsibility of arranging the children's section and then moved onto homeware, women's wear and beauty. This previous Christmas I was given the task of assisting in creating the main Christmas window displays, where I was greatly challenged and yet equally rewarded by being told that my displays were a great success. This was my favourite role within the shop and I grew to become more interested in this field of work the more I learnt about it.

Shortly after Christmas I began my journey to India, where I spent roughly two months travelling, being inspired by all the vivid colours and intricate patterns that I was surrounded by. It was such an experience, spending time in such an unfamiliar and incredible culture. Seeing this day to day made me equally as excited and eager to come home to begin my career in the creative industry.

I am very driven and eager to pour my skills into a career where I can grow and expand my talents. Creativity is a huge passion of mine and my University degree reflects that my skills are of an industry standard. If given the opportunity to work as part of your team, I am certain I would bring unique and contemporary ideas, as well as positivity and energy to the position.
