About me

Having recently graduated with a 2:1 in (BA Hons) Multimedia I am seeking to further expand my practice in the field. Throughout my degree I have specialised in 3d visualisation and took an intent interest in photo-realism, with a particular focus on the planning and researching of a project. I am a very keen designer and continue to practice graphic design which is important to me as I feel it widens my creative thinking.

During my time at college and university I have become familiar with 3DS MAX, Premier Pro and have worked with Adobe Flash. In addition to this I have worked intensely with Adobe Photoshop, becoming very accustomed to the software. The constant usage of computer programs in the past has enabled me to understand new multimedia software more quickly and efficiently. During my first year of university I covered a range of subjects including Web Design, Moving Image and Virtual Environments. At the end of my first year I specialised in Virtual Environments which I then continued throughout my second and third year.

Skills

During my 3 years at university I have gained a number of vital skills that I hope will help me when entering the job market. I have had experience with story boarding, working within groups to produce and direct film shorts, writing client proposals and having regular client meetings with my tutors. I believe sharing ideas and being able to work within a team is important in any working environment. I have also had to take an innovative and sustainable approach to my design plans for a recent project which opened me up to a world of new technologies and design ideas. University has improved my time management and research skills enabling me to complete projects to a higher standard and in keeping within strict deadlines., Software Experience, - 3DS Max, - Adobe Photoshop, - Adobe Premier Pro, - Adobe Flash, - Adobe Illustrator (briefly used in college), - SketchUp

Sector Experience

Courts Design- Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, I completed work experience in April 2012 during the Easter break, producing 3d visuals for exhibition events. This enhanced my 3d skills immensely and gave me a taste for what it is like to work within the industry. I enjoyed working as part of a team and took back a more mature and dedicated attitude to my degree work., Project Experiance at University, Pixilation/Stop Motion, Interactive Narrative, Creating a one shot film, fly-throughs, create an Interactive Quiz, Interpreting a script through film, bipedal robot, 3d promotional video for uni alumni, simulation of a commercial project from initial designs- animating- editing: competition entry, 2000 word Client Proposal, Research document and supporting artefacts examining how elements of 3d visualisation help define the character of an interior designed space.
