About me
I approach all areas of design with a positive attitude and have a
true desire to consistently achieve and learn within this field. I have
always loved being creative and like to work over a range of areas,
with a particular interest in the relationshipbetween graphic design
and fashion. I especially like to post produce photographs in
experimental ways and design interesting layouts, imagery and patterns.
Brand identity and promotion is an area I find very interesting,
including design for retail and in-store graphics and concepts. I enjoy
the challenge of designing for different audiences and am very keen to
work with a variety of brands and magazines in the
future. Currently, I am working
freelance for Tatty Devine- I designed their Spring 2010 catalogue
which is out now, and I am now working on their summer one, and have
also created various artwork for their website. I also do some
freelance design for Saf (a vegan bar and restaurant), and work part
time in retail at Office shoes Oxford Street- I am working in their
head office temporarily helping to put together their merchandising
guidelines. Since I moved down to London in the summer I have being
gaining as much experience as possible and have also worked with Cassia
(a perfume manufacturers) and TLG Brands (which owns fashion accessory
brands Fiorelli and Modalu). Whilst living in Manchester I was
working as the graphic designer for Moving Manchester magazine, where I
laid out the whole magazine on my own and got it ready to go to print.
I am very confident using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and
am always keen to learn new skills.
