About me

Dear Sir/or Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in the artworker position and to outline my excellent academic background and the skills that I have gained through this. These skills are ones that I believe would make me an excellent candidate for the position you are advertising for.

After an excellent A-Level result for my Fine Art and Photography courses (A* and B respectively), I went on to study at Canterbury Christ Church University for a BA(Hons) in Fine and Applied Arts. I am set to complete this course in June of this year.

Whilst studying for my degree, I have covered various units and modules that cover a wide variety of skills, including both visual and more traditional research methods. Throughout the three years, my research based modules (History, Theory and Context and in my final year, my dissertation) have all focused on art and design as having the capacity to have a worldwide impact; and this understanding, I believe, helps me with everything creative that I embark on. Throughout my studio practice, I have developed a variety of skills, including refining the photography and image manipulation skills I developed during my A-levels. During my time at university, I have also come to have a great deal of knowledge with regards to various social media platforms, including a wide variety of blogging sites.

During the three years of studying, I have been working part time in order to build up real-world work experience. This employment has taught me irreplaceable skills and habits, including team work, leadership skills and an eye for the smallest details.

With the end of my studies in sight, I am now looking to take on a challenging and rewarding role.
