About me

I have just completed a BA(Hons) degree in Interior Design (Upper second class honours) from Sheffield Hallam University and am keen to put my skills into practice within the retail industry.

Studying Interior Design at university has allowed me to gain invaluable skills in spatial awareness, retail design and honing my visual and communication skills. I have excellent space planning skills, and I am eager to learn new programmes and techniques to further my knowledge and understanding.

Whilst previously working within a fashion retailer I helped to implement the current trends throughout the store by creating many of the visual displays, windows and new floor layouts, with the aid of the trend book and style file. I also helped to implement the visual layout and displays for various model store guides. My manager gave me the opportunity to work with the area visual merchandiser and this gave me a deeper knowledge of the important role they play within the company.

I am able to keep and work to tight deadlines. Im an extremely motivated individual with a flair and passion for design and the retail industry. Having already experienced some of the work a visual merchandiser carries out, I would love the opportunity to take this role on at a larger scale than I have previously worked at and make it into my profession.

My ideal career is to become a visual merchandiser based within a head office role. I feel that your company would be the perfect place for me to begin, progress and grow within my career. I believe I would be an excellent addition to your existing visual merchandise team.
