Having recently returned to London after living in New York City for the last five years, working for numerous online and print media companies, I find myself in a very knowledgeable position regarding the needs of the industry on a much wider scale. The incredible opportunity to work and live abroad has definitely enabled me to gain a different perspective of the industry in general and I feel all this experience could certainly benefit me with regards to the Photo Editor role you are offering at Travelzoo.

I have had a great amount of involvement dealing with numerous photo agencies, both for stock and celebrity images including; food, travel, celebrity, cars, lifestyle and sport. My time spent communicating with these agencies has also allowed me to build up a substantial list of contacts and establish numerous working relationships with their sales representatives. I have a very keen eye for detail and thoroughly understand the entire process of locating a specific image, working towards the exact size and colour specifications required, right up to seeing the images correctly loaded live onto the Internet. My technical skills have certainly been fine tuned over the years and I now find myself extremely competent on numerous Adobe editing programs. I am currently using the CS5 creative suite. I am also more than used to the tight deadlines and varied hours that come hand in hand with this nature of work and never mind helping out whenever I'm needed.

Prolonged time spent working with online and social media has also allowed me to gain an extensive, first hand knowledge of websites such as your own and I am actually currently signed up for both your UK and USA mailing lists. I certainly already enjoy receiving the content and ideas you promote in your Top 20 and am always interested in the subject matter. In short, I not only understand the exact nature of the work you carry out and how to achieve this myself but would also relish the opportunity to work with the subject matter your produce at Travelzoo. My huge passion for travelling and the world I live in would undoubtedly allow to me to thoroughly enjoy all tasks you require to be carried out.
