JENS PETTER WÆRNES
CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER VML COPENHAGEN
Jens holds the position CCO of VML Copenhagen. Prior to this role, he spent four years leading creative at the Scholz & Friends Group in Germany. Before returning to Europe, Jens enjoyed ten outstanding years as part of the creative leaderships of BBDO New York and Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco. During his time in the US, Jens had the great fortune of reporting to four of the most respected and celebrated creative leaders in the world: Greg Hahn, David Lubars, Jeff Goodby and Rich Silverstein. Originally from Norway, Jens considers himself a creative nomad with the big idea as his North Star.
His work has been consistently recognized by all major award shows with more than 450 awards, including Gold and multiple lions in Cannes. Winner of the Grand Prix at YouTube Awards as well as being accepted into the permanent collection at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City.
Jens has had the honor to serve on juries such as the Cannes Lions, the One Show, London International, the AICP and other festivals.
Jens reports to his wife and their two children.
