Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to apply for the role of design and marketing assistant and have attached a copy of my cv and portfolio for your consideration.

I am a product design graduate from Nottingham Trent University, with experience working in interior and lighting design.

Studying product design has given me a varied skill set and with my experience in industry, I believe I would be an ideal candidate for this role. I have a keen interest in many art and design disciplines, and feel that my passion and skills in design would allow me to assist with your work efficiently. I aim to make a valuable contribution to your company with my conscientious and hardworking approach. Furthermore, I am confident working on a range of 2D and 3D software programs including Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and Solidworks.

During the twelve months I spent working with a hi-end interior design company in London, I had the opportunity to work on some very prestigious projects, with my focus on Coworth Park Hotel, part of the Dorchester collection. I was able to organise my workload and responsibilities to complete the tasks as required, which varied from research to concept development to drawings and onto installation.

Within my final year work in my portfolio, my creativity and attention to detail is clearly evident by the complex and intricate design I created. I hope you find my work of interest and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
