To whom it may concern,

I am writing to you to express my interest in the internship at your studio. CADA seems like an exciting and inspiring company which I feel my creative skills could be nurtured. The position would be a fantastic opportunity to kick start my career in to my desired sector of retail because of the success of the company has already achieved in the retail sector. My ability to provide accurate, concise work, meet deadlines, and previous experience working in retail would make me a perfect candidate for the role.

I am a fresh graduate from The Glasgow School of Art where I acquired an Upper Second Class Honours BA in Design (Interior Design). Four years at the school have taught me that Interior Design is such a multi-disciplinary subject and has opened many doors to interests such as graphics, branding, print, product design, typography and all things which are visually communicated. In particular I have taken an interest in graphic design which I have pursued by various freelance projects around Glasgow such as bar flyers and album covers. In my opinion design cannot be confined to one curriculum, as with each project I complete I find myself inspired by different influences, which is why my passion for all things design has flourished at my time at the Art School.

As an incredibly hard working individual I can independently get on with any task given and cope with high demands, throughout my four years of study at university I have consistently worked two part time jobs to fund my travel interests each summer. Having seen a large part of the world by the age of 21, I am determined and fuelled to start working and put this life experience into action.

My positions have included four years hands on experience in one of the UKs main retail brands-Topshop, where I was in charge of various Visual Merchandising tasks and floor moves. My outgoing and friendly nature allows me to interact well with other staff members at all levels and I pride myself on being made weekend supervisor within a Retail environment.
