About me

I've been a special educator for 30 years, I was blessed to have found my calling, passion, my bucket is filled practically everyday when teaching students and families when trying to navigate the educational landscape.

I've struggled over these past years with colleagues, administrators and general education teachers.

I've opted to work for a charter school at this time. The mission of the founder and her ardent desire not only to reach all students but to also provide much needed support to ALL for students and thier families . Inclusion model and then some. However there has been unintentional assumptions and a lack of clarity about how to implement the vision. Albeit unintentionally the process, the legalize of Special Education and the IEP (individual education plan) process and the integrity has been compromised. While I was unaware of the gaps, logistical issues...I'm invested now and very much want to assist in this journey. So I'm here, up way past my bedtime searching for ways to translate advocate reinvigorate myself...to DARE GREATLY!
