About me

I am a freelance web developer and print media sub-editor, with a background in newspaper and magazine publishing. I have worked as an online sub-editor, content editor, developer and webmaster. I'm also an experienced proofreader with BSI markup. I design and build websites, produce and copy-edit content, and undertake any scripting necessary to integrate databases. Self-taught, I use Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Photoshop principally. I have produced portal sites using open source Content Management Systems and update and maintain these on behalf of clients. I would describe myself as a good all-rounder - my main database integration experience to date has been in 'classic' ASP but I am also doing a lot of work currently with PHP/MySQL. I am methodical, meticulous and adaptable, equally happy working on my own initiative or as part of a team.
