About me
I have worked for over three years in the publishing industry and I feel that I have gained the knowledge and experience you require for me to move to your organisation. Since I have been employed by Key Publishing, I have worked the vast majority of my time on two of their magazines; AIR International, which is a consumer monthly publication and Airports International, which has ten issues per year and is a business to business publication. Both are quite different in themselves, in so far as their readership is at two different ends of the spectrum, one for aeroplane enthusiasts relying on retail sales and the other for the aviation industry, relying on advertising. Back in May 2006, I was also given the task of designing a newly acquired magazine in the Key Publishing portfolio, PC Pilot, which is a by-monthly for flight simmers, targeting another readership with a new angle of design. PC Pilot has also recently been licensed to a Taiwanese company and is in the process of publishing its first issue. Not only does my remit involves designing the editorial pages but it also involves designing any supplements/one-offs and promotional print media associated with the magazines. For example, I am presently working on a small advertisement to promote the company"s website for the Guardian's Saturday supplement.
I would very much wish and feel attracted at expanding further my capabilities and experience in the design industry.
