About me

Although I have been working as a supply teacher for several months now, I have been re-evaluating my skill set and interests, and have come to believe that I would be much better suited for a career in writing.

I have had a lifelong interest in language, attested by my decision to complete a double major in English and Literary Studies at university. While there it was my privilege to have been an editor on The Hart House Review, one of Canada's most prestigious journals of poetry and prose. I believe that the written and oral communications skills demonstrated by my degree, as well as my work on The Hart House Review would serve as a valuable asset to a position as a writer, as would my strong, technology-oriented background.

Additionally, I have acquired a range of transferable skills that should prove useful in meeting the demands associated with the role. I possess excellent organizational skills, and I am a fast learner, adjusting quickly to new environments and tasks. My communication and interpersonal skills are also well honed: I have considerable experience of working within teams to share ideas and tackle challenges.

I would greatly appreciate your consideration of my application and welcome the opportunity to participate in a personal interview to answer any of your questions and better present my qualifications.
