About me

I am a creative, competent and confident author with experience across many industries and writing-related roles. Ultimately, the written word for me is core in what I desire in a job. I want the expectation of my day-to-day working life to be that I should express myself in an innovative way. Should this be done through my abilities as a writer more the better.

I graduated in 2014 with a BA (Hons) Creative & Professional Writing degree, achieving a 2:1. During and since university I have enjoyed cultivating my skills in roles as diverse as travel writing, technical authoring, blogging, social media marketing and website design, among others. I feel that the range of professional roles I have been lucky enough to undertake has strengthened my position as both an author and as an employee.

As a person I am a lover of books, particularly speculative fiction, and will often be found with my nose in a book. I have travelled several times in my life, across Europe and all the way to New Zealand, as well as taking holidays to a variety of different places. I am usually thinking about where to go next and have a slight affinity with Japan (somewhere I am yet to visit but absolutely certain I will soon). I have undertaken a travel writing internship in Berlin, which has fast became my favourite place in the world.

Hobbies aside I consider myself intelligent, creative and incredibly keen to learn. I am not someone to shy away from a challenge and have time and time again proven to myself that I am particularly good at working under pressure and to tight deadlines. In my more recent roles I have achieved certain autonomy in my duties and have achieved beyond expectations.
